Creating and editing a bundle

To get started, navigate to Bundles in the left-hand navigation menu.

Creating a bundle

To create a bundle, first, click the New Bundle button at the top-right of the screen.

The only field available to you when creating a bundle is simply the Name field, you’ll use this name to identify this bundle when selecting it from a list of bundles as you assign it to your customers.

Once you’re happy with your entered value, click the Create Bundle button to add the bundle to Billingbooth.

You must now add the respective allowances to the bundle, which must be done via editing the bundle itself.

Editing a bundle

To edit a bundle, find the bundle you wish to edit in the list of bundles and click its corresponding Edit button.

There are two tabs at the top-left of the Edit Bundle screen, Settings and Allowances, first we will go over the Settings tab.

As with creating the bundle, the only field present on the Settings tab is the Name field, you’ll use this name to identify this bundle when selecting it from a list of bundles as you assign it to your customers.

If you make an amendment to the bundle name, click the Save Changes button to save your amendment and update the bundle on Billingbooth. Clicking the Cancel button will return you to the bundle listings screen.

The main focus of editing a bundle is that you now have the ability to add allowances to your bundle, to do so, click the Allowances tab at the top-left of the screen.

A bundle can have multiple allowances, so you can combine allowances to form highly bespoke bundle packages.

Add an allowance

To add an allowance, click the Add Allowance button at the top-right of the screen.

Allowance Type - Choose between Voice, Data or SMS data types.

Included <Unit>s - The unit type of this field depends on what the Allowance Type is set to, for Voice the unit is Minutes, for Data the unit is Megabytes and for SMS the unit is Messages. Define how many units the allowance covers.

What do you want to allow? - Choose between either Destinations or Groups, which will display your created destinations or groups respectively in the Available list.

NOTE: You cannot mix destinations and groups here, your best bet would be to create an allowance for destinations and an allowance for groups. Toggling the value of this field will remove any items in the Included list.

Available/Included - You can use the Filter text box at the top of each list to filter through the listed items below it, otherwise simply click on a list item to move it to the adjacent list.

Once you’re satisfied with your allowance set up, click the Add Allowance button to save your allowance to Billingbooth and return to your bundle’s allowances listings screen.

Limit maximum length of a single call? - Check this field if you wish to limit how long a call can be to still be included as part of a bundle.

Maximum call length (if Limit maximum length of a single call? is checked) - This field allows you to enter a a value in minutes of how long a call can be before it's charged at the normal rate.

Delete an allowance

Before continuing, it should be noted what will happen to associated call charges if you delete an allowance.

If you have processed CDRs so that call charges are assigned to your customers, you will need to delete the appropriate processed CDR and reupload it after you’ve deleted the allowance if you wish for the deleted allowance not to affect the call charges within.

NOTE: If you have invoiced the call charges and then deleted the invoices, you will need to delete the pending call charges from respective customers in addition to deleting the processed CDR.

Otherwise, if you have an uploaded CDR in Ready status, after you have deleted the allowance, simply go to the CDR details screen by clicking CDR Files and then Recent Files from the drop-down menu. On the Recent Files screen, click the Details button of the respective CDR upload before finally clicking the Re-Analyse button under the clock image to have Billingbooth recheck the uploaded CDR file.

To delete an allowance, find the allowance you wish to delete in the list of allowances and click its corresponding Delete button.

A confirmation modal will appear, click the Yes button to confirm your deletion of the allowance or click the No button to cancel the deletion.

Once you’ve clicked Yes, a success message will appear above the Allowances list and the allowance will no longer be present in the list.
